Violin Tuner is developed by Studio Ekin. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information. In short: the app does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information, and it does not require an account.
Violin Tuner needs microphone access to detect the pitch of your instrument. This is the app's core function and it cannot work without it.
You can revoke microphone permission at any time in your device settings. The tuner will stop working, but the rest of the app remains usable.
The app is free and supported by advertising through Google AdMob. To serve ads, AdMob may collect and process certain data, including a device advertising identifier, approximate location derived from your IP address, and information about ad interactions.
We do not receive or have access to this data in a form that identifies you. How Google uses it is described in Google's privacy and terms page.
On iOS, the app asks for your permission before any tracking takes place. If you decline, you will still see ads, but they will not be personalised. On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID from your device settings.
Preferences such as your chosen reference pitch (for example A4 = 440 Hz) are stored locally on your device so the app remembers them next time. They never leave your device and are deleted when you uninstall the app.
We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, contacts, photos, precise location, or any other personal information. We have no servers and no user accounts.
Violin Tuner is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.
